The tyrannical rat king as mismanaged his field kingdom for years. A drought has caused his people to become angry and disparate. Relations between the rat field and your well watered farmland have grown increasingly tense in the last month.

Last night, rat saboteurs blew a hole in your grain silo, the rats meal of choice spilling out into the pasture. With the breaking light of day the deafening pitter patter of hundreds of rats can be heard across the ranch. The decision has been made - there is only war left.

Defend your livelihood against the encroaching rat horde using any traps and an oddly large supply of barnyard cats.

Click the buttons on the bottom to spend money to summon cats or traps. Hit the buttons under them to upgrade and make them stronger but more expensive. Defeat all the rats in a wave to move to the next one.

Do not let the rats eat the grain from your silo. The rat king has 14 waves worth of rats to try and collect your grain.

Really great graphics and sound design in that short period of time! I found it pretty hard to understand all the available tools because thats really a lot right from the beginning, maybe you could slowly introduce them . Love that music rat btw

I liked this quite a bit! Poison seems like a good buffer troop, with a respawn time almost as quick as the cat. Also nice little duckling eating near the silo.

The sound effects also grew on me. I like the sound the snap trap does on its first snap.

Great touch allowing players to access the menu with the Esc key during a match if they want to pause, want to check up on what each troop does, etc.

I lost a little interest at around wave 7, mostly because I hadn't thought of spawning a cat and waited for my slow troops to make their way to the rat nest and start the next wave. Also not sure if there's any indication to how much health you have or how many hits you can take (It took me 3 hits in 1 wave to die, not sure if health resets with waves or if it carries over). If I missed an icon, whoops!

Also just noticed this was a jam submission - thanks for uploading, good luck!

Edit: I think the front of the barn is the healthbar, I guess I did miss that!
